Mike and Kristen

For 2020, we did a project where Mike released a new song — written, recorded, produced and mixed in his studio — on the first day of every month. Each song was accompanied by a coinciding painting done by Kristen. Each piece captured the mood, emotions and essence of the song in painting form. To go with that, together we created a self made music video (with things we found around our house) for each song.

For 2021, we decided that we want to continue our music/art collaboration by offering YOU the opportunity to have your very own custom song and painting. If you’ve ever found yourself wishing someone would write a song for/about you, this is your chance. And BONUS, you get a painting too!

The package includes a custom, acoustic based, full length song written and recorded at Hot Jupiter Sounds by award winning singer-songwriter, Michael S. Ryan. A landscape of sweet melodies, rounded out with guitar, harmonies and maybe even piano, Michael will create a song just for you based on themes, memories, inspirations or information that you personally provide. We will email you a brief questionnaire to help guide the song writing.

In addition, Kristen will create a corresponding 24”x24” original, abstract painting inspired by the song’s message, mood and energy. A unique custom package for yourself, a gift, celebration, anniversary, memory, birth, you name it!

A digital version of the song will be emailed to you — you can burn it onto a CD if you like. The painting will be delivered free of charge within HRM or for an additional fee, mailed via Canada Post.
