Mike and Kristen

We're a husband and wife creative couple from small town Nova Scotia. Mike's a songwriter and musician (Michael S. Ryan & The Town Heroes) and Kristen is a visual artist and designer (Kristen Herrington Art)

We've been collaborating as a couple for the past decade. We began creating art together with Kristen developing a painting for every song from Mike's first solo album From the Bottoms of Our Murky Hearts.

From there, we dove into the creative world headfirst:

-We wrote a BOOK, “You and Me: Travel, Misadventures, and Love Around the World” – a memoir that showcases a hilarious collection of short stories from our lived travel and relationship experiences.

-We host a PODCAST aptly called “Mike and Kristen” about following dreams and life as professional artists.

-We create CUSTOM PIECES of Art and Songs for clients.

-And we perform a LIVE SHOW where audiences get to see Kristen's art come to life from scratch while Mike simultaneously belts out his original, heartfelt songs (with a few sing-a-longs to boot!)
